What a great way to to kick off the FunnYmmigrants Comedy Festival. Santiago puts on a very high energy show with a very honest and charming attitude. His style is like mixing a storytelling and stand-up frosty together at Wendy's. There's no better way to keep your audience engaged than to tell stories about your father's death. He paints himself as quite the jokester, but you can tell he has a big heart and he has tremendous love for his family. You'll definitely leave wanting to call your father.
Bill is fond of wordplay and you can tell as soon as he dives into the Big Bang Theory and all it's somethings vs nothings. His banter can toss your brain around a bit, but you are gently guided to the next turn with a cute catchphrase or fun analogy. I was very fond of the Big Bang being thought of as just one great big sneeze.
The most intriguing part of the show is the nose dive into The Quantum Theory and The Theory of Relativity. Just when you think Einstein would be rolling in his grave, Bill provides a lot of clever material that invites the audience to think... but also laugh. It's clear that Santiago has put in the effort to get to know the work before making great deal of fun of it. That is much appreciated.
